Vitamin B1 Sulbutiamine / Bisibuthiamine Powder CAS 3286-46-2 Food Additives
Introduction
Sulbutiamine powder is a synthetic derivative of thiamine (vitamin B1). As a dimer of two modified thiamine molecules, it is a lipophilic compound that crosses the blood-brain barrier more readily than thiamine and increases the levels of thiamine and thiamine phosphate esters in the brain.

Product Applications:
Sulbutiamine is a novel fat soluble derivatives of thiamine, it can cross the blood brain barrier more easily than vitamin B1 because of its lipophilic. It can be rapidly absorbed and the concentration is maximum in 1-2 hours after oral administration. The molecule rapidly distribute in the whole body and is eliminated with a biological half-life of 5 hours.
Sulbutiamine is also used to increase mental focus, provide a clear mind and promote general vigilance. It has beneficial effects on working and episodic memory by improving memory formation and has been described as a centrally acting cholinergic agent.
