Product Description

Cl3Ru Ruthenium Trichloride/Ruthenium(III) Chloride Manufacturer CAS 10049-08-8

Quick Detail:

CAS: 10049-08-8[1]
Molecular Formula: RuCl3
Molecular Weight: 207.43
Features: There are α Type and two β -variants and soluble RuCl3.
α Type: Black solid, insoluble in water and ethanol.
β -type: Brown, solid, the relative density of 3.11. Decomposed when the temperature is higher than 500 C. I t can be obtained by a 3: 1 mixture of chlorine and carbon monoxide at 330 C reacting with the ruthenium sponge. β Type changes into to α -type when heated in 700 C in-chlorine, . The transition temperature of α -type to β - of is 450 C. Water-soluble ruthenium chloride RuCl3 @ XH2O is brown red crystal. Soluble in water, acid, alkali, when heated to 200 C in air, it will decompose. Its solution is red. It can be produced by heating Hydrochloric acid solution of ruthenium tetroxiden in hydrogen chloride gas flow. It will produce many complex when reacting with reagent reacts which is also the starting material of making many ruthenium complex, and also the catalyst of the polymerization, isomerization, hydrogenationa of many organics.
